Auto Numbering
FreeSpatially sequence any Revit category into a parameter.
Overview
Auto Numbering writes an ordered sequence into a parameter of any Revit category — rooms, spaces, equipment, fixtures — ordered the way drawings actually read: clockwise around the plan, row by row, serpentine, or radially from a point. A live plan preview shows the exact order before anything is written to the model.
Key features
- Works on any category with a writable parameter
- Clockwise, row-by-row, serpentine, and radial orderings
- Prefix, start number, and padding for the generated values
- Live plan preview of the sequence before it writes
- Scope to the whole level or just your current selection

- 1
Optionally select elements first to scope the numbering.
- 2
Click Auto Numbering on the RIME ribbon (Productivity panel).
